Is Niaspan therapy valid for me? I take 80 mg Lipitor to lower LDL. I am 69 years old.

Should I discontinue Niaspan? Although it lowers my triglycerides and raises my Hdl, I continue to have unpleasant side effects 2 or 3 times a week even after almost 4 years.
